Successful completion of “Extensions Fundamentals & Knowledge Dissemination Skills”course
During the two day course on 14-15 November 2018, Fresh Academy trained a group of 12 agronomists from Ha Noi, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Moc Chau, Da Lat and Hai Duong to enhance their knowledge and skills in extension services. The participants learned not only the concepts and fundamentals of extension work but also the practical skill toolkit to apply in their every day work. They explore the tools through participatory exercises and answers to questions such as:
How to organize a workshop that farmers want to attend?
What is the difference between direct and indirect extension support? What are the roles and functions of an extentionist?
How to use tools like NLP,mind mapping, matrix ranking,Socratic method, the thinking hats, problem tree to enhance the quality of communication, analytical thinking and extension service?
How can I improve my communication skills to listen better, understand deeper and work more effectively with farmers?
How can I use the toolkit to plan, monitor, evaluate and improve the quality of my extension service?
